Summer & Winter Show Series

Our summer and winter show series are a great opportunity for newer students to experience the fun of a horse show, allow horses a chance to get their feet wet in the show ring, or to keep your horse ready for the next show season!

The summer and winter series have no affiliation with the MHJA, and the points awarded do not affect MHJA point standings.

AWARDS AND POINT SPECIFICATIONS

AWARDS – Warm Up Classes will be judged blue/red unless otherwise stated.  All other classes will receive ribbons for first through sixth places. 1st: 10    2nd: 6   3rd: 4    4th: 2    5th: 1    6th: ½. For divisions with 3 or less riders competing, half points will be awarded.

SHOW CHAMPION QUALIFICATIONS – The Champion and Reserve Champion titles for each Hunter division shall be awarded to two of the four horses which have acquired the most points performing in classes over fences in the division. In addition to these points, only these four horses shall receive points toward the Show Championship for ribbons won in the under saddle class. Champions are not awarded for Equitation divisions.

TIES – If there is a tie for Champion or Reserve, the horse with the most points over fences wins. If the horses are still tied, both horses will receive Champion or Reserve.

JUMPER CHAMPIONS – Jumper riders must compete in the full division to be eligible for a Champion or Reserve Champion placement. If a rider only competes in one, two, or three of the four classes offered in the division, their points do not count towards Champion placements.

SUMMER SERIES-END CHAMPIONSHIPS – Winners of the Annual Championships are the horses, ponies and equitation riders who have been awarded the most points in each recognized division throughout the Windermere summer show series. Series-end awards will be awarded after the August Summer Series show has concluded based on horse and riders’ cumulative points from all of our summer show series events that they have attended. Hunter and Equitation divisions will place 1st through 4th for series-end awards. Jumper divisions will place 1st and 2nd for series-end awards. Medal classes will place an overall high-point Champion for each height for the series-end award. If there is a tie for any series-end ribbons, all competitors will receive their respective ribbons.

Equitation and medal points will follow the rider for all equitation divisions. Hunter points will follow the horse for the Pick Your Height, 2’6” Open, 2’6” Non-Pro, 2’3” Open, 2’3” Non-Pro, 2’ Open, 2’ Junior, 2’ Fossils, 18” Open, and Cross Pole Open divisions.
